Founded in 1924
In the second half of the 19th century, Ángel Calderón de la Barca and his wife, Frances Erskine Inglis, built Villa Calderón on the land adjoining what is now Sanz Enea.
On part of this same plot, the Casa Grande was built in 1924 and was used to provide accommodation from the very beginning.
Today, the Casa Grande is Hotel Zarauz and continues its tradition of providing accommodation.
Original features of Villa Calderón, such as its columns, are still preserved and can be seen when entering the hotel from Gipuzkoa Street.
